Toddlers: Age
group (21/2 years)
Toddlers Program is a nurturing socialization experience that fosters
the development of movement, independence, language, creativity and
social skills for children.
A natural extension of the home, where parents are the primary educators,
the
Toddler Programme focuses on the individual child within a structured
environment, organized to meet the needs of toddlers. Everything in
the classroom has a specific use or purpose. Chairs, tables, shelves
and materials are all scaled down to the child's size and are within
reach.
The Toddler Programme cultivates children's ability to learn, during
the most formative years of their development. Teachers offer a constant,
familiar routine in a secure, orderly environment, designed to develop
each child's capacity to communicate, co-operate and master new experiences.
Since all children are unique, the timing of developmental stages
will vary slightly as they eagerly explore their world.
Playgroup:
Age group (2 - 3 years)
Our Playgroup
program emphasis language, activity, and movement with major emphasis
on large muscle activity. Hence children learn through their own experiences,
trial and error, repetition, imitation and identification under the
supervision by caregivers who guide and
encourage
this learning by ensuring an environment that is safe, stable and
emotionally supportive. It provides a broad array of stimulating experiences
within a framework of routines and protection from excessive stress.
Play is the critical factor in socialization and development and a
wellspring of learning. Play helps children develop language, social,
motor, and cognitive skills in a variety of child-oriented and child-directed
activities.
Play allows a child to explore, investigate, question, wonder, observe,
discover, realize, create, invert and build in the world around him.
As the child better understand the world, he can better find his place
in that world. In this way play helps the child not only construct
knowledge about the world him but also about himself.
Nurseries: Age
group ( 3- 4 years )
Our Nurseries
program for preschoolers revolves around independent play
centers
as an effective way for teachers to organize activities so that children
can make their own choices.
In this group the children learn the basics of social life such as
playing together, sharing the toys, being obeying with each other,
helping obeying. Our aim is to open window to the world so they can
get to know their environment by competence in the use of language.
Classroom experience provides students with both skills necessary
for literacy and the inspiration to pursue reading and writing for
personal satisfactions, long after formal instruction has finished.
Kindergarten: Age group (4- 5 years)
Kindergarten
is a time for children to expand their love of learning, their general
knowledge, their ability to get along with others, and their interest
in reaching out to the world. This is the year of preparation, which
lays the foundation for a child's academic career. Here the child
learns not only the skills needed for the Reception Class, but also
how to become a disciplined, independent person.
We know that the academic is only one aspect of a child's personality
and
here at Kids Kampus we try to enhance the whole child. Great stress
is laid upon play and socializing skills, because these also help
to develop character.
Our developmentally appropriate kindergarten classrooms encourage
the growth of children’s self-esteem, their cultural identities,
the independence and their individual strengths. We also ensure that
our kindergarten children continue to develop control of their own
behavior through the guidance and support of warm, caring adults.
Our teachers work with individual children, small groups and the whole
group at different times during the day.
Grade
I: Age group (5 - 6 years)
As
the child reaches grade one, his academic syllabus becomes more structured,
as he now exhibits a budding interest in the functional aspects of
written language; we provide a print rich environment to stimulate
the development of language and literacy skills in a meaningful context.
Our program recognizes that parents, schools and the child are equal
parts, each having something to give and learn from the others.
Thus we stress on building a strong home school connection. Parents
can best support their child by providing a rich environment beyond
the classroom, by keeping in regular contact with our teachers and
counselors as to their child’s progress, and by attending conferences
and workshops that assist them in understanding and relating with
their child and with the school.
Extra
Curricular Activities:
Kids Kampus®
provides further opportunities to its students to develop talents,
skills and experience by participating in extra-curricular activities.
These are designed to meet the needs and interests of all our students,
so that maximum benefit is gained from their education. These activities
enable students of different ages and abilities to work together in
a stimulating environment.
The activities includes swimming, singing, Karate and rhythmics.
