History
“What lies behind us and what
lies ahead of us, are tiny matters compared to what lies within us” – Emerson
Kids
Kampus® and its affiliated educational institutions, under banner of
the Salamat School System Pvt. Ltd.® (SSS), was founded in
1974 by Mrs. Mussarat Salamat and a group of learners whose degrees were in a
variety of disciplines but whose common interest was in improving learning
environments for children during the critical early years of development.
About 25 years later, Kids Kampus upgraded its
program to include a new elementary school ‘The International Campus for
Advanced Studies’ (ICAS) in 1998. This was a much-needed move given the immense
pressure from our existing parent-body and the evident critical gaps in
Pakistan’s educational system.
Our aim was to gradually grow into Middle and then a
High school to carry on the rich tradition of high quality education provided at
Kids Kampus. Our goals were to:
-
To construct purpose-built
campuses to house our schools with the modern high-tech amenities and
state-of-art curricula and qualified, experienced staff
-
To establish a
teacher training institute
-
To form a Teacher
Resource Center to act as liaison between private and public school, to aid the
uplift of education in Pakistan
|
By the grace of God, we have come a long way towards
achieving these goals. ICAS will next year (2003) add grade 8 to ICAS and
students from there on will have an option to join Salamat-ICAS O & A level
Program to further their studies.

Akin to the developing child we constantly seek to make changes to our programs
and organization that will lead to the betterment of our dynamic curriculum and
teaching methods.
Our focus on change and continuity has been balanced by a commitment to maintain
the tradition of excellence associated with our educational institute.
In the 21st century, ICAS focuses on international education, with a desire to
contribute to building a peaceful world. We aim to teach our children values of
fair play and hard work, and at the same time try to develop in them a social
awareness that will help our country’s future generation.
Our goal is to educate children to their full potential by nurturing and
challenging them intellectually, physically, socially and morally. We believe
that education is an enterprise through which children share in, and contribute
to, the intellectual, cultural, social and moral resources of the larger
community. Moreover, we believe children are best able to develop their own
powers of thought and understanding through active participation in personally
and socially meaningful work.
